Laying out the barrel:

The next step is to scribe a centerline on the bottom center of the
barrel. There is a flat on the bottom of the barrel  that I used to set it square
in a V block, then calculated the center and scribed a line.
I measured the rear hinge block and gas block and they are within .002"
to 003" smaller than the barrel diameter, so no reaming needs to be done
to them. I scribed a center line on both of these as well.
I will use the gas port to locate the gas block, then use the gas tube to
set the rear hinge block. Once these are in place and the gas tube fits
properly I will drill and pin them, then I will install the trunnion and
headspace then drill and ream the barrel for the pin. doing it this way I can
fit the trunnion to the receiver with the top cover and ensure the sights are
perfectly vertical.
