Counter
7.62x25 Pistol bolt 2
Drill a 1/4" hole down through the firing pin hole completely through to
the cross pin hole.
The bolt face needs to be counter bored to .375
diameter and .100" deep, an end mill  or counter bore needs to be used for
this operation, and the depth is critical.
Now mill a slot 1/2" wide x .350" deep x 2.350" long in the bottom of
the bolt. Start the slot .675" from the rear of the bolt. This is the clearance
slot for the hammer and the dimensions are not critical.
Insert  the recoil spring assembly in the bolt, and from the front drill
through the cross bar with a 1/4" drill bit. This will allow the firing pin to
pass through and the rear face of the cross bar will determine firing pin
protrusion.
Now prepare the firing pin insert for installation. Make sure the pin fits
freely in the bushing, if it is tight polish the pin till it is free. Grind or drill a
small slot on the recoil spring side of the bolt in the rear area where the
bushing is. The bushing can be retained with a tack weld, or by silver
soldering.
