The first step is to salvage the necessary parts from the kit. Strip the
lower and remove the grips. You can cut the lower in two to make it
easier. We will be saving the grip and trigger guard assembly and the mag
well.
To remove the mag well first cut the tabs at the mounting ears even
with the mag well body, these will be welded to the mag well when done.
Then you need to grind or mill out the 3 spot welds on both sides. Then
cut the tab extension in the rear of the mag well and it willl come free.

Next step is to radius the inside of the attaching ears, this can be done
with a cutoff wheel in a dremel. Then weld the ear tabs to the body.

Next remove the grip / trigger guard assembly if you have a mill you can mill off the
rivets and spot welds. If not saw away as much of the lower as possible and grind off the
rest. it is important to get the mating surfaces flat.

Finally remove the rear sight and spring, drill out the rivets from the
rear and the sight will come right off. Be careful to not lose the sight spring.
