Spade Grip Build Tutorial
The first step is to strip your backplate and cut off the grip, then
grind down the tube to round it out. Degrease it and give it a quick
blast to remove the finish.
Next drill out the holes for the grip screws and trigger pin with a
1/4" bit, then drill the upper pin hole in the linkage bar with a .100"
#38 bit, then drill a .100" hole in the bottom brackets
Fit one of the long spring pins in the hole and make
sure it rotates freely, if it is tight open up the hole with
the next size larger drill.
Fit the linkage to the trigger, it may need a little
grinding to make it fit loosely. Then drill the trigger
holes for the linkage with a .096" #41 bit, then drill the
rear trigger hole with a .100" #38 bit. The rear pin
should fit freely.
